Chinese crackle-glazed footed dish 18th century, circa 1790
A small well proportioned dish with raised foot, barbered rim, with crackled dove grey glaze. Crackle glazed decoration - intentionally produced by interupting with the firing process which affects the shrinkage between the body and the glaze, forming a pattern of irregular cracks. This also could be enhanced by staining from liquids such as tea. 11cms
Condition - Very good, very minor firing specks to the centre and also very minor staining. No restoration or repair
